B Kinesiology

Kinesiology helps with a wide range of physical, emotional and energetic issues including anxiety, overwhelm, chronic stress, trauma, pain and depression. It works by identifying and clearing the root cause of your issue using a technique called muscle testing to access both your conscious and subconscious mind. Kinesiology works with your experience, clearing blocks and emotions specific to you, so each session is uniquely tailored to exactly what you need.
Kinesiology uses muscle testing (biofeedback) to detect how your body responds to stress, emotions and thoughts. A stressful or negative thought causes a weaker muscle response (an "unlock"), while a positive or neutral thought produces a stronger response (a "lock"). This tells your practitioner exactly where stress or energetic blockages are held (mentally, emotionally, physically and energetically) so they can be cleared at the root cause.Sessions leave you feeling clearer and more grounded, with practical tools to manage stress and build resilience beyond your appointments.
Muscle testing is a gentle, non-invasive technique used to evaluate how your body responds to stress or specific thoughts. Using very light pressure (no more than 1kg or 2lbs), your practitioner tests a muscle, most commonly the brachioradialis, to detect a locking (strong) or unlocking (weak) response. These responses reflect your conscious and subconscious mind, giving your practitioner precise insight into what your body needs to return to balance. This gently method provides you and your practitioner with insight into the underlying cause of your issue and the energetic correction required to bring you back into balance.
Before your session, you'll complete a history form so your practitioner can dive straight into your session without spending time on paperwork. During the session, you'll:
Each session is unique to your specific goal and situation.
Kinesiology uses a treatment plan approach, similar to other modalities that address long-term stress, anxiety or trauma. You'll typically start with more frequent sessions to build momentum, then reduce to regular maintenance sessions. Over time, many clients move to a self-management approach, booking sessions only when needed. Your practitioner will guide you through this process at a pace that works for you.
Being in balance refers to your body's natural state of homeostasis (the process by which your body maintains stability and self-regulates in response to changing conditions). Through muscle testing, kinesiology identifies what's disrupting that balance and clears it, allowing your body and mind to return to their healthy, optimal state.
Both support goal-setting and planning, but kinesiology goes deeper. Life coaching is typically talk-based, focusing on your goals, plans and mindset. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to access your subconscious, uncovering hidden emotions, limiting beliefs and energetic blockages that may be holding you back. It also explores past experiences to release beliefs that no longer serve you, replacing them with new, supportive ones. A kinesiologist can also act as a life coach, but a life coach cannot practise kinesiology without specific additional training.
Both kinesiology and reiki work with the body's energetic field to promote healing, but they work quite differently:
The key difference is that kinesiology identifies why a blockage exists and addresses it at the point that it originated in your life, empowering you with the tools to help address the issue as well as clearing the energetic blockages; while reiki focuses on channelling healing energy through the body.
